Stirling Dynamics is recruiting an IT & Business Support Administrator to join the team.

 

The IT & Business Support Administrator will be a member of the Support Services team, reporting to the IT & InfoSec Manager. The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time dedicated to 1st/2nd line IT support for the business, with the remaining 50% dedicated to business administrative/improvement activities.

 

This is an interesting and dynamic role, playing a key part in providing and supporting the services required for the project teams to deliver innovative and exciting projects across key sectors such as Aerospace, Defence and Aviation.

 

Some "on the job” and formal training will be provided.

 

The ability to achieve and maintain UK Security Clearance is a mandatory pre-requisite for this role.

 

This role will be based in our Bristol office, however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be expected to be developed and finalised over time and will include but will not be restricted to:

  • Troubleshooting and configuring Windows domain environment
  • Configuring new hardware for end-users e.g. laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Administrate Office 365, with the ability to support/help users Office 365 toolset
  • Desktop support – both configuring and troubleshooting
  • Manage IT Helpdesk/Service desk system – managing, assigning, actioning, and closing support tickets
  • Support the business management teams with administration and improvement tasks, such as finding efficiencies in processes and automation
  • Maintain company business administration tools

Qualifications

  • Computer/IT related qualification(s)
  • Fully licensed driver preferable but not essential

Experience

  • Previous experience in an IT orientated environment preferred but not essential
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Basic understanding on Linux preferred but not essential
  • Basic knowledge of cyber security principles and practices preferred but not essential
  • Interest in process scripting and automation preferred but not essential
