Stirling Dynamics are looking for a talented Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Hydromechanical Design capability team on a permanent basis.
The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will be supporting the design and development of innovative technical solutions for applications within the aerospace, marine, flight simulator sectors & Urban Air Mobility sectors. The Principal Engineer will be required to tale a lead role & work closely with Systems, Stress, Electronics, Performance & Simulation Engineers within a multidisciplinary project team to ensure the delivery of projects to the agreed technical requirements, timescales and budget. They will be involved in all aspects of the product design life cycle, from initial concept generation, detailed design, implementation, product improvement and in-serve product support.
This role will be based in our Bristol office however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work remotely for part of the time.

The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer role will suit an engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience within a mechanical design environment. The successful candidate will work with the hydromechanical Technical Manager and other engineers to ensure the on-time delivery of development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Candidate will be Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
All candidates will need to have a BPSS check and have or be eligible for obtaining Security Clearance (SC).
Competitive Package (Grade 7, £51,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience)
