Stirling Dynamics is recruiting a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join the Software & Electronic Hardware team.

 

Stirling Dynamics are looking for a talented Graduate Electronics Engineer to join our team to work with us delivering complex electronics based solution for electro-mechanical products, projects, and services to the world's leading Aerospace & Defence companies. This role is to fill a position in the dynamic multi discipline team developing electro mechanical systems for Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing Aircraft (EVTOL).

 

This role will be based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to our clients’ sites as required. However, as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

The successful Graduate Electronics Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Producing electronic hardware designs to satisfy project requirements
  • Preparing design documentation, conducting design calculations, and maintaining concise engineering records
  • Participating in reviews of their own work and that of others
  • Contributing to the new design and modification of existing products
  • Designing for and troubleshooting production and manufacturing processes
  • Following company processes and producing work products in compliance with the Aerospace Standards DO-254 and DO-160

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline, e.g. Electronic Engineering

 

Skills

The personal qualities of the candidates will be key to success in this role which demands a self-motivated attitude, a professional approach, and good organisational skills. Candidates must be able to identify with the characteristics and qualities detailed below:

  • A sound understanding of the fundamentals of analogue circuit design
  • An understanding of power supply design, e.g. SMPS
  • Experience in circuit simulation
  • Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Team player with examples of this

Experience

  • Can demonstrate practical design skills through a university project or work placement
  • Tools: Altium, LTSpice
