Stirling Dynamics is recruiting a Senior or Principal Loads and Aeroelastics Engineer to join the Structural and Fluid Dynamics team.
Due to upcoming projects and supporting continued growth, Stirling Dynamics is looking for a talented Senior or Principal Flight Physics Engineer with a special interest in aircraft Loads and Aeroelastics to join our team.
This engineer will work within a team responsible for all aspects of aircraft structural dynamics, from model development and validation to the prediction of flutter and the computation of ground and flight loads for the whole aircraft. As a Senior/Principal Engineer, responsibility will include leading technical packages of work/tasks; providing input into the generation of technical proposal documents and supporting and approving the work of junior engineers.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline (preferably Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mathematics) and must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of aircraft structural dynamics, loads and aeroelastics.
Several years of proven relevant experience in industry is required with a good knowledge of methods and processes followed within this field for both analysis and certification purposes.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within and manage a team of engineers.
This role will be based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to our clients’ sites as required however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work a hybrid working model.

Competitive Package (Senior Engineer Grades 4 – 6, £36,000 - £60,000) (Principal Engineer Grades 7 – 8, £51,000+)
