Stirling Dynamics is seeking a Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our Business Development & Marketing team on a fixed‑term contract.

 

This role is responsible for delivering the marketing activities of our industry‑leading engineering business. You will work closely with senior technical specialists, the business, and sales teams to ensure the successful activation of strategic marketing initiatives.

 

This role will be based in our Bristol office however as part of our commitment to flexible working, we also accept hybrid working. Occasional travel may be required to support industry events.

 

The contract is expected to last for 12-18 months, this will allow the successful candidate to work alongside the existing Marketing Manager for a signficant handover before she goes on maternity leave. Our preference is for the role to be part-time initially (3 days per week), increasing to full-time in August 2026. However if this is not possible, we will consider full-time from the beginning of the contract. 

Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) will support and execute all marketing activity for the business, including:

  • Delivering marketing activity aligned to the 2026 marketing strategy & plan and developing the 2027 marketing strategy & plan in conjunction with our Head of Business Development & Marketing.
  • Working with business leads to maintain an integrated sales and marketing approach.
  • Delivery of key marketing projects to support development of CRM, website and brand.
  • Events - delivery of full events calendar including 2-3 international exhibitions and supporting colleague participation at 30+ events.
  • Social media - supporting the Senior Marketing Executive in the management of the monthly social media calendar, including ideas generation for content, plus drafting and posting updates, and use of paid social.
  • Website - management of our website, including SEO, with support from our web agency.
  • Brand and design - maintaining the brand across all channels, with support from external designer.
  • Reporting - monthly marketing reporting for senior management group, Board and Group.
  • Content and comms - development of campaign messaging, copywriting of case studies, blog posts, press releases. Ability to generate new content ideas with support from business unit leads and subject matter experts.
  • Managing marketing campaigns across proposition development, content, digital channels, SEO, events, social media and advertising.
  • Video - using video to support specific campaigns or business units, with support from a video agency.
  • Budget management - delivery of marketing against 2026 budget.
  • Supplier Management - including web agency, graphic designer, event booth builders, video agency.
  • Stakeholder management - working with a range of different stakeholders including senior management team, board members, technical experts and business support services.
  • People Management - effective management and development of the Senior Marketing Executive.
  • Leading and executing lead‑generation campaigns.

Experience

The successful candidate must have experience as a Marketing Manager (or similar), ideally within the technology or engineering sector.

 

The successful candidate must have experience working across the full breadth or marketing actvities, including the delivery of events; devising marketing strategies and plans; managing budgets and working with external agencies including copywriters, creatives, and digital agencies. 

Benefits

Competitive Package - Grades 4 – 6, (£35,000 - £ 65,000 dependent on experience).
